Special Obligation: Speak the Name of Jesus

What Do You Think? Wednesday

Christians are obligated to speak the name of Jesus and say He is the way of salvation.

What do you think of these messages?

You know I want to know. Please, tell me what you think?

  1. Is this a trick question? Romans 10:9

“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”  Are these guys the new Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton?

  2. No trick question Abbey, LOL. I asked because some people on Twitter were saying that a lot of people were going to be saved after hearing all the messages that went forth. I didn’t see how. I did hear people mention Jesus, just not how to receive Him as Savior and Lord. I won’t comment on your last question. LOL.

  3. I didn’t watch either of these men speak. I was not interested in what they had to say. I may be putting myself out there, but I have not felt that either one of them are any longer effective for the Body of Christ and that in many ways they have compromised the gospel for filthy lucre’s sake (Titus 1:10-11).

I used to listen to and watch them back when I was in college, but after about awhile, I just could not listen to them (and some others) any more. There are a lot of preachers in the “spotlight,” who are mixing the sacred with the profane (Ezekiel 22:26). I don’t want to start anything (wink wink), so this is the last thing I’ll say (lol)…

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.” 1 John 4:1-3 (ESV)
    (Am I in trouble? lol)
